Deployment

Letting ya'll know why I haven't been on as much the last couple days...
My boyfriend Jeremy just left for deployment and this is my first time experiencing this. I'm at a loss as to how to deal with your significant other, whom you're used to living with and seeing constantly, going away for six months. I haven't been posting as much because I've been trying to squeeze every moment I could in with him. Now I'm not sure if I'll post more or less. School did just start, but so many people I have talked to say it's best to just keep busy.

So if any of you have gone through this or have some advice to add, please don't hesitate!

  1. I've never had to deal with anything like this but I hope the best for you and Jeremy. Keep thinking positive and find fun, new things to do everyday.

    Don't miss out on life!
    Good luck. (:

  2. Thank you so much Shaina. I do need to find more things to do. We recently brought my piano over from my mother's house so I could get back into that for example.

And yea...about missing out on life. I'm a bit afraid I'll just because a hermit computer junkie while he's gone.

  3. Drown your woes in nail polish-y goodness!

Good luck, my dear! He'll be back before you know it!

  4. I and my now husband used to live in separate countries when we met and it was only after 2,5 years relationship when we managed to move in the same country. It was always so hard to say goodbye when you knew it would be months before we could see again. I think it is best to keep busy now, that is how time passes faster!

I hope you keep on updating your blog, I sure enjoy reading it!

  5. Thanks Amber haha! I'm dying for more Konads but I can't find the full selection on any sites except the ones that cost 5.99 and up. I don't know if I can spend it all!

Thank you so much Intootje! That is so good to hear especially since I started so recently. It helps so much to receive comments on my posts like this too. I have a blog post for you soon actually! The Katy Perry OPI Collection! Any other tips on how to make it through? We plan on sending each other packages but I don't know what to put in them. Like for Valentine's Day, what do I dooo?!?

  6. Hmm, it was so long ago for us, I can't remember anymore (I let you know if I can think about something). We are celebrating 10th wedding anniversary in April :) But that should be a positive story for you :) We made it for 2,5 years apart and now are already celebrating 10 years of marriage :) Valentine's Day is not such a big deal where I live so that was never a big deal for me.

Ooohh, Katy Perry collection! I am curious what you think of the Katy Perry polishes. I only got 2 for myself and I like them a lot.

I just finished my post on the Katy Perry collection! Teenage Dream is my favorite. Love the song too ;).
