All Natural Face Serum and LipBalm - Giveaway!

So I've been using this all natural face serum for about a month now. It's called Smelly Face Serum by Crunchy Mamas. The lip balm is their Honey Lemon which smells and tastes super tangy and nice. It fells really moisturizing on the lips and I keep it in my diaper bag! What I like the most about these products is that they're 100% natural. No chemical crap, no fake preservatives, no artificial fragrances, just real stuff. I'm on a journey to ditch the chemical crap in my life and only eat real food and only use real products. It's not something you can do overnight, but this is a step in the right direction!
Ingredients in the face serum: organic unrefined coconut oil, beeswax, organic hemp seed oil, organic rosehip seed oil, organic tamanu oil, vitamin e, organic carrot seed essential oil, organic geranium essential oil, organic myrtle essential oil

Ingredients in the lip balm: organic unrefined coconut oil, beeswax, raw honey, organic lemon essential oil
The serum is a really nice texture and feels like a light oil, not thick and heavy on my face. It takes about 5 drops to moisturize my whole face well. My mum even got to try it! When she put it on she said it smelled really funny. I'm like yea mom it's called Smelly Face Serum for a reason haha. It's the carrot seed essential oil that has that really earthy almost dirt-like smell. But it's ok mom it helps with wrinkles! "Oh gimme some of that then" she said lol!!

Crunchy Mamas says their serum can help fight against wrinkles, age spots, uv damage, acne, dark circles, fine lines, blotchy skin, blemish scars, t zone problems, large pores, and dull skin.
I definitely noticed an improvement in my combination skin. It's like it evened out my skin type. I don't have that flaky dry skin on my nose and eyebrow area anymore. Seriously it would be dry even minutes after putting on my previous store bought stuff, and always has been honestly. I feel like it made my face look brighter and healthier overall. To be honest, even if it did nothing more than store bought stuff, I'd use it because it's completely natural!
I was afraid to use it except before bed because I thought it was going to make my face look oily or be too moisturizing like a typical night time moisturizer. I decided to try it and honestly I feel like it soaks in well in about 5 minutes. This is me about 5 minutes after using the serum. No makeup, bare it all haha! It feels great and doesn't look weird at all.

So I have a giveaway for you guys! You can win a Smelly Face Serum and a lip balm from Crunchy Mamas, and a custom sample of essential oils from me! The giveaway starts on Instagram, so you'll have to do the steps there to enter first. You can get extra entries on my Facebook. I'll post the giveaway form for extra entries here too!

MAC Viva Glam V

I love me some Mac lipstick! I got my mum hooked so she had to get some too! She chose Viva Glam 5. It's a gorgeous mauve shimmer.

It's kind of fun to see how different lipstick looks on different people. Ok, well it doesn't look all that different. But it actually did on our lips! It comes across much darker on me. My mom wears it lightly so it's nice and versatile.

And here's MAC Viva Glam V. I really like it on me and I don't even like shimmers. The shimmer is a subtle gold. Love the quality, nice creaminess, and everything I expect in a MAC lipstick.

Nekkid lips for comparison.

Fresh Sugar Lippy

I love the free gift at Sephora for your birthday! I usually never get around to going down there to get the free gift, but this time I did! The last year or two it has been Happy Birthday Philosophy body wash. I was dying to try that, but this time it was Fresh Sugar lippies, which I can so live with!

I got a boxed set with a treatment and Rose.

They were really sweet and also gave us two free samples - a his and hers perfume!

Here is the treatment on the left and Rose on the right. I figured out the treatment is just clear. Rose is a sheer rosy pink, of course!

It is definitely super sheer and doesn't cover up any imperfections. It didn't really seem to change my lip color either, it just added a nice healthy sheen. I have used some other Fresh Sugar colors that are more pigmented. I would use this particular color more as an on the go lip balm when you don't feel like getting pretty. It does smell great, taste great, moisturize for hours, and feels great on.

Fyi though, don't put this in your pocket. I tried it with a different color and it didn't melt out, but when I went to put it on it smooshed everywhere because it was so over soft. I did manage to get it back in the tube and save it, just letting you know.

Kat Von D Lolita

I got my first Kat Von D lipstick for Christmas and I love it!
I chose Lolita, a dusty rose pink nude.
It's different than my other pinks because it has a much richer more natural tone to me. Considering the natural color of my lips, it seems almost a nude.  It's similar to my lip color but darker, richer, and more fabulous!

I love this lipstick! The packaging is super cool, it goes on great, doesn't get dry, and lasts a few hours.

Death by Cuteness

I got my first Tokidoki product from Sephora's $15giftcard promo for .40 cents! The gift card even covered shipping, so it was awesome. I chose Tokidoki Gelato Lip Balm Stain in Donutella.
The brand Tokidoki is a Japanese-inspired line that is "criminally cute and irresistibly edgy." Their stuff is SO cute isn't it?
On the lip balm tube there is a pink unicorn, icing, sprinkles, a tiara, and gemstones with cute happy faces on them. When you take the clear cap off, it has the logo.

Here is her darker side

And her lighter side
The description calls it coral strawberry. The coral does show, but it's more strawberry for sure. It smells fruity and sweet, tastes great, goes on smooth, and the lid stays on well so it won't get gunky in your purse. For calling it a lip stain it stay on pretty average, maybe an hour or two? Other than the not-so-long wear, it's really awesome. I can't wait to try more freaky cute Tokidoki stuff!!

Jouer Lip Enhancer

Loving this Jouer Lip Enhancer Conditioning Lip Treatment I got from my September Birchbox!

This is what it looks like in the tube. It's a sheer liquid balm that's tinted pink. I say balm because it is thicker and glossier than something like Chapstick, but not super thick and shiny like a gloss. It's in between.

Here it is on my lips. It's a really nice, natural, moist look. And it's good for your lips too! It's more for moisturization than a pretty look.

Urban Decay Pocket Rocket

I ordered a couple things from the Hautelook Urban Decay sale. One of them was Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lipgloss in Jesse.
It has really cool packaging! It's wide and flattish so it really does fit nicely in your pocket.

Packaging swatch of the color
On the top of the lid it says "rub me" :P
All the colors have different boy names and guys on the cap. Here is Jesse.

When you tilt it, you see Jesse in his underwear haha!

Jesse is a purpley red lip gloss with a bit of shimmer. It reminds me of a glass of rich red wine.

Such a pretty color!

Heres a quick cell phone pic of me wearing Jesse. It's not quite as dark and pupley as you'd think once you put it on your lips. You can see in the swatches above its about half way sheer too. Really nice!
It smells and tastes a little funny, but not bad. Kind of like campfire marshmallows lol! It's smooth and not sticky. It's really slippery and last a good while, like your usual gloss (maybe 2 hours). Be careful if you're applying it on the go without a mirror and you rub your lips together. It sort of made that extra line of gloss if you know what I mean, so just make sure you check in a mirror real quick before you run off again. I love it!!

Longwearing Lip Color

In my quest to find a lip color that actually lasts, I have tried quite a few. When it's a normal lip stick or a gloss, it isn't so bad to reapply it. But sometimes I want one that I won't have to worry about touching up! I have tried:

MaxFactor Lipfinity (good but not available in the states anymore)

CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain (fun to apply, didn't last)
Covergirl Outlast Double Lipshine (didn't last at all and came off really ugly)
Covergirl Outlast Lipcolor
AAhhhh finally! This is the one you want! I used my Covergirl Outlast Lipcolor in Soft Pink Satin #800 and it was so fabulous! Let the pics do the talking!

Time passed 0:00 - Here it is at the very beginning, without the lip balm topcoat that comes with it.

Time passed 0:00 - At the beginning after the top coat, really feels nice now.

Time passed 0:00 - Outdoors with top coat

Time passed 0:30 - And after eating macaroni trying to eat normal

Time passed 1:35 - Still fab

Time passed 4:10 - Still great

Time passed 5:30 - After a shower, almost freaking flawless

Time passed 5:30 - Reapplied top coat for the first time

Time passed 9:00 - The color is a little faded, which makes the imperfections in application more obvious. I still think it looks freaking awesome.

Time passed 18:25 - I went to bed with it on because it still looked good and I wanted to time test it. This is how I woke up.

Time passed 19:00 -  Overall look before school, still wearing it. Wow!

Time passed 21:30 - This is after eating 3-4 meals, showering, sleeping, brushing teeth, everything. It honestly didn't look that bad, but it was faded and coming off a bit on the inner lip which you can see int he pic below.

Time passed 21:30 - Pic to show the wear on the inner part before I finally took it off.

There you have it ladies. I'd say this was pretty much perfect after 20 hours of wear and normal daily activity. Freaking amazing right?

This was easy to apply with the lipgloss style wand. Because it is long wearing and is kind of a lip stain, you have to be really careful not to mess it up and paint out of the lines. It also dries very quickly, so you need to paint each lip quickly. If you want to go back over it I feel like that's when you can see the thicker areas and it doesn't always look even. You're not supposed to rub your lips together like you would after applying a traditional lipstick. You apply to one lip, then the other, and hold your mouth open for about 30 seconds more or until they're totally dry. Then apply the top coat, which adds moisture to it like a regular lipstick and is supposed to help it stay on.

Let me know what kind of long wearing lip color you have tried and what you liked and didn't like!!

This product was purchased by me and reviewed just for you!

MAC Gem of Roses

So I just happened to go to Nordstrom for the first time the day the MAC Semi-Precious collection came out. Awesome! My mum was visiting me from Tennessee and we decided we needed to splurge on some MAC. She got MAC Eyeshadow in Malt and MAC Lipstick in Viva Glam V. She got me one of the new lipsticks from the Semi-Precious collection Gem of Roses!

The eyeshadows in this collection are particularly gorgeous. Check out some great swatches of some of them here and here. I wasn't able to find a site that had the entire collection together. I really want the lipglass in Looks Like Sin!
So here is MAC Lipstick Gem of Roses
Wanna know what's so freaking cool about this? My first and middle names are Megan Leigh Rose. Gem is Meg backwards. Gem of Roses = totally my lip color. I feel like it's named after me :D.
Gem of Roses is described as a midtone strawberry pink by Mac. It's a satin creme with only the slightest shimmer. I don't like shimmery lipsticks, but I feel like this is just enough to make it undetectable on the lips but add that extra bit of fab. I feel like midtone strawberry pink is pretty accurate now that I hear it, but I would add a bit of mauve and red to that as well. It's quite a lovely berry color that looks pinky sometimes and has more red other times.

This is my first MAC purchase ever and I'm so excited and happy about it! The lipstick applies well, isn't sticky, and feels smooth and moisturizing. It doesn't bleed out from the edges, it doesn't get on my teeth, and it doesn't stain the skin around my lips when I mess up and need to wipe off the edges. It seems to last pretty averagely, a couple hours. Of course eating reduces that pretty drastically. I did notice that it sort of stains my lips, in a good way, though. After I ate pretty quickly after applying it was still on probably 80%. It was more faded but the color was totally still there. I love this!!

Now onto the swatches!!

Naked lips so you can see a difference

Swatched on my forearm. See how different it is? I really tried to take pictures at different angles too and capture it. This is why then the MAC lady asks if you want to try it on, say yes :D. It might look totally different!!!

And there you have MAC Gem of Roses! Lovely isn't it?
