You're a Witch!!

Happy Halloween!! I was too busy last night to post my Halloween mani :P. I was feeling something witchy.

Creepy trees, a pumpkin, and a flying witch!


I must say my right hand looks better, go figure!

I tried to double stamp the pumpkins with white then orange, but even that didn't show up. I just did the white first and painted over it carefully as a guideline.

I used Borghese Purple Confetti for the base, topped with Girly Bits Purple Potion (witch appropriate huh?) for some extra sparkle. I did gradient tips with Butter London Black Knight. The yellow is China Glaze Sunshine Pop with a little white swirled in for a cool moon. The orange is China Glaze Candy Corn. I added a coat of Lynderella When the Moon Was a Star to make a fun night sky behind my haunted house on my thumb. 

Borghese Purple Confetti surprised me so much with the mostly matte finish! Yea, it's a little gritty because of the glitter, but it was still a cool surprise!

 Here's what I wore for Halloween! I'm Pocahontas...or her albino cousin...

 I hung out with my friend Brittany, who dressed as a super cute witch. One of the kids came up to the door and said "YOU'RE A WITCH!" Lol! Well yea!

VDay Pedi with Girly Bits

Happy Valentine's Day lovelies! I did a fun VDay skittle pedi with some of Girly Bits glitters that she sent me for review, Razzle Dazzle and Purple Potion. 

OooOOOooohhh....AAaaaAAaaaahhhh! :P These are gorgeous holo glitters!

Razzle Dazzle is a gorgeous rosey pink jelly base with pink and holo glitter that flashes pink, purple, and blue. 

Purple potion is a rosey purple jelly base with purple and holo glitter that flashes purple, red, pink, and blue. 

These polishes have so much more color than just pink or purple. They really show the rainbow. They go on smooth and are opaque in two coats. You can get your own Girly Bits by ordering them from Pam's blog. They're $6 for minis and $10 for regular size. Hehe....girly bits :P.

What did you do for Valentine's Day? Last year he was on deployment, and we exchanged gifts but weren't able to spend time together. So this year we went out to hibachi, watched a movie snuggling on the couch together, played a card game, went to the farmer's marker, and just a bunch of fun hanging out stuff :). 

Girly Bits Sailor's Delight

 I honestly think this might be my new favorite polish. This is Girly Bit's Sailor's Delight. "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailor's take warning." My fiance is a sailor too, so it's extra special!


 My kitchen and sunroom both have an autumn color scheme, and this lovely red orange polish reminds me how much I love that!

Sailor's Delight is a gorgeous red orange jelly with gold and red regular and glassfleck shimmer. It is definitely more red that orange, but what I love about this color the most is that it really is red orange. Not red, and not orange. It's a unique and beautiful color!

The shimmer is definitely not subtle and really gives this polish something special.

Here you can see the soft jelly finish. I think it's a great touch. This polish would be great for glitter jelly sandwiches. There is some visible nail line after three coats, but not much at all. I think it's a very sophisticated look and I like vnl when it looks right.

I cannot get over this polish! I love how Girly Bits is an indie polish maker, not a big business. She is different than Lynderella and some other ones because she makes polishes of many different types and finishes (glitter, holo glitter, bar glitter, jelly, shimmer, duochrome, multichrome, etc) and I like that! Start the New Year Fresh

I wanted to start the new year off with something fresh. I chose Girly Bits Stormy Skies from her Seas the Day collection.

Stormy Skies is a dusty light blue polish with lime green and gold shimmer.



The formula seems gritty at first, but isn't when it dries. It nicely self levels, and covers well in two coats.

Street Magic and Denim Diva

Girly Bits Street Magic is a super cool multichrome topcoat that shifts between bright green, gold, bronze, and autumn orange. 

Here are my nails before the topcoat. From top to bottom: Girly Bits Denim Diva, Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses at Night, Orly Pixy Stix, and China Glaze Jolly Holly.

Here is a closer look at Denim Diva. She's a royal blue shimmer/foil with a lot of depth.

Here they are after one coat of Street Magic. The multichrome is way more obvious in person. It's so rich and gorgeous!

Jolly Holly and Pixy Stix with Street Magic. I wanted to see how it would look on a lighter color. It shows up more on a darker color, but it is still just gorgeous on a lighter color like Pixy Stix. You'd think it would be subtle, but it's really not! The gold and bright green show up a lot!

I Wear My Sunglasses at Night with Street Magic. The amber was SO hard to capture on camera, but constantly present. Just gorgeous. 

Both Denim Diva and Street Magic are gorgeous. Formulas were great, packaging is super cute, the bottles are really cute being mini and with the little rhinestone (she sells full size too), and Street Magic is so versatile. You definitely don't have to put it over a dark color. It's really mesmerizing on all of them. You can order her polishes here. 

Girly Bits!

I got an awesome haul from my friend Pam over at Girly Bits today! I got her entire first collection, some suspension base, Joe Fresh Peacock, superfine red bar glittler, and sparkly purple glitter.
