Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

 I'm loving all these Deborah Lippmann dupes lately. $3.99 Revlon vs $18 DL. Hey I'm sure the DL is better, but we all like cheap. This is Revlon Facets of Fuchsia and it looks like Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance.

This is two coats. It is a black jelly with small round and medium hexagonal hot pink glitter that leans towards purple. So I guess fuchsia glitter is more appropriate lol. 

 Pretty pretty right? I love the style of a black polish, but it's a little too much for me on its own. This makes it perfect by adding a little girly flair. 

Vamp Glam

I am loving the Tarte Trueblood Palette! This time I tried out one of the tutorials that came with it: Vamp Glam

Telepath on the entire lid, after primer and liner

Fairy on the inner corner, blending upward and outward

V along the upper and lower lashline, including the inner corner of the eye. I did it thicker on the upper since I'm not used to wearing liner on the lower and didn't want to look like a ho lol.

Ok so the outfit isn't vamp glam, I was headed to school, but you know :P.

1. What’s a nickname only your family calls you?
Meggie Leigh or Megz

2. What’s a weird habit of yours?
Umm...I snore? I can't think of a weird one...

3. Do you have any weird phobias?
Ants...I'm really fine with any bugs as long as it's on my terms. Like not in my house, not randomly discovered upon me, but it's fine if I choose to touch them or observe them in nature. It's because I found them in my bed one night, like lines of them. And they ate my fucking birthday cake.

4. What’s a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you’re alone?
Lately it's Adele Someone Like You. I have many lol. A few Kate Nash ones too. She's awesome.
5. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?

6. What’s one of your nervous habits?
Grinding my teeth and cleaning out under my nails.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
My side :D. The right side when you're laying down. I don't have to sleep on the same side in every bed though. Like in a hotel it's usually the one with the lamp or closest to the plug or something.

8. What was your first stuffed animal and its name?
First is a hard one...I did have a Velveteen Rabbit. After I read the book I got sick and cried because I thought all my toys would have to be burned lol.

9. What’s the drink you always order at Starbucks?
I have a few favorites. Always a tall skinny/light - either caramel late, the exciting seasonal flavor latte, or caramel chip frappuccino

10. What’s the beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
Not to clip your cuticles. I so do....but not much.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?
Umm...both ways? This is a dumb question lol. When washing my hair, I face away from the shower head. When washing my body, I face towards it.

12. Do you have any weird body skills?
I can twist my left arm, palm down on the table, 360 degrees around. Aaannnd....touch my tongue to my nose.

13. What’s your favorite comfort food that’s “bad”, but you love to eat it anyway?
Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream

14. What’s a phrase or exclamation you always say?
Sweet yo!

15. Time to sleep – what are you actually wearing?
This varies a lot for me depending on how much I care and how hot I am: dress nightie, pj pants or shorts and tank top with a bra thing in it, or nothing.

This is two coats of Golden Coast, a gold holo glitter. It does have full coverage potential, but of course works well over another color too. As a glittery topcoat, it's a lot of glitter, not just a little spritz.

Hautelook Sale: Lorac and Barielle

Hautelook always has awesome deals on all kinds of different things, including makeup. The deals only last for a few days and then are gone. It's a sign up kind of site, but there isn't a fee or anything. Pretty much awesome. I do, however, get credit if you sign up with my link when you make your first purchase :D.

Right now there is a Barielle sale going on, and the polishes are $4! I might not recommend buying the treatments with this sale though because you can get them really cheap at Marshall's. They are 50% off in this sale though, so maybe that is a better price. Not super sure.

Nails for a Cause: Ovarian Cancer Awareness

I've done nails for a cause before (MADD, LGBT), and love doing it. So do the other girls in my FB group :). This month is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Teal Toes is an organization that supports ovarian cancer awarness by encouraging teal pedis (and more). Fun huh!

So here are my teal toes in support of those who have dealt with ovarian cancer.

I tried my first water marble ever...on my big toes. Why do I have to make things hard on myself? I used Barielle Decadence, GOSH Holo, and Me Me Me Defiant. Here are closeups of the toes. The others are 3 coats of Barielle Decadence. (click to enlarge)

Here is me marbling hehe. I taped my big toe and used a paper towel to cover the others since I didn't want to get them all funky and wasn't going to marble them. It worked really well to protect the other nails. 

 As you can see :D. SPLOOSH! Awesome huh? The Gosh didn't work like I wanted it to and kind of separated into shimmer, but it's still kinda cool.

 She's my first franken ever :D. There are more swatches here. I've been thinking and thinking on a name and told my friends again "I still haven't named that bitch" with a pic of the polish. Well apparently "That Bitch" stuck hahaha, so now that is my first franken's name.
