Gobble Gobble!!

 Happy Thanksgiving! I couldn't post on Thanksgiving because I was out of state and busy with family, which I'm thankful for! Here is what I wore on my nails for Thanksgiving.

 Two coats of China Glaze Adventure Red-y with one thin coat of Shimmer Trisha. I've been wanting to use this harvesty glitter again!

Adventure Red-y is darker and richer than true red, with a touch of brown. It does look pretty bright red like this a lot of the time too though.

I love how this glitter looks in the shade too!

We did a quick family picture together too! LtoR: Dad, Mum, BIL, Sister, Me, and my husband. Oh don't forget Rascal and Penny my niece and nephew :P.

It took me two and a half years of living far away to get homesick. I really miss my family and I'm so thankful for moments like this.

What did you do for Thanksgiving? We had a great meal, painted nails, visited my sister's barn, and played Taboo!

Shimmer Polish Jenny

 I legit, no exaggeration, love every single Shimmer polish I have put my little hands on!
This is Shimmer Polish Jenny.
Jenny is a clear base with large hexes in blue and holo silver and medium hexes in gold. There is a rainbow of small hexes including purple, red, green, holo silver...and small squares in bronze and baby blue. The microglitter is in purple, baby blue, gold, green, and silver holo. This is two coats.

 
Have I mentioned how cute the little color coordinating hearts are on her polish labels? What a cute trademark. These swatches may look patchy especially if you click to enlarge, but it was one of those cases where to the naked eye two coats seemed to cover my nails nicely. So you could do 2 or 3 I suppose :).

This is one coat of Jenny over Zoya Lotus and Nail the Bytch Caught in Candy. Like all of the other Shimmers I have tried, you can wear them alone or over another color for totally different looks!

I had no issues with anything. Great formula, no sinking/bleeding/curling glitter. Seriously....her polishes don't disappoint!

Shimmer Polish Vanessa

 I can't get over Shimmer Polishes! It makes me think of Pokemon lol...gotta catch 'em all!!!
This is Shimmer Polish Vanessa.
This is two coats of Vanessa. Vanessa has a charcoal tinted base filled with charcoal microglitter. There are medium black hexes and small hexes in red and holo silver...microglitter in blue and red.


Here's her lighter side. The overall color shifts from charcoal great to silver to holo.

 
I love super glitters like this!

I actually wore this polish while writing our wedding thank you cards! So glittery I could die!

This is Shimmer Polish Vanessa over Diamond Cosmetics Silver and an unnamed Funky Fingers red shimmer. I love how you can use these polishes either on their own or as a top coat for a totally different look!

The formula is always great on every Shimmer Polish I have tried so far! I expected this one to be a little more rainbowy because I had NOPI Follow Me on Glitter in mind when I chose this one, but it's more of a card game kind of black/silver/red polish. Still awesome!

Shimmer Polish Linna

I am loving my Shimmer Polishes! This one is the lovely Linna (what cute names).

 Linna has a clear base packed with emerald teal micro glitter. She also has large blue hexes; small hexes in green,red, silver that flashes gold, and blue; and even baby blue squares. There is probably more that I just can't pick out, but wow. Super fun!

 

These swatches were 3 coats all on her own with topcoat. It may still look a bit gritty, but with one layer of top coat it really wasn't.

 She can look more emerald green in the shade but super bright wow teal in the sun. I love polishes that had different sides like this.

 Her polishes are so versatile that you can either wear them alone or as a glitter topcoat! Here is one thin coat over China Glaze Call of the Wild and Girly Bits Denim Diva. 

The formula was a great consistency and there was no glitter dobbing needed to get it right. This polish is unique and that's always important to those of us with huge stashes.

Shimmer Polish Trisha

Omg I'm in love with a new indie brand! Have you heard of Shimmer Polish? I stumbled upon her brand one day and had to have some! I love how she puts little hearts on the label that  match the polish color. She even makes custom polishes! This is Shimmer Trisha!

 This is 3 coats of Trisha on her own and it's fully opaque. Super glitter bomb!

Trisha has a clear base packed with bright rusty orange micro glitter. There are large hexes in bronze, gold, and blue; small hexes in mageneta, and blue; small bright rusty orange square glitter; and micro glitter in blue, holographic gold, magenta, and light blue. Wow, SO much glitter in this polish!

She even glitters like mad in the shade! 

Here is a close up of Trisha. I love the different sizes, shapes, and colors!

And for versatility, you can even layer one coat over another color to make some awesome combos! This is one coat of Shimmer Trisha over an unnamed mini red shimmery Funky Fingers and China Glaze Call of the Wild.

The formula was a great consistency and there was no glitter dobbing needed to get it right. This polish is unique and that's always important to those of us with huge stashes. It wasn't perfectly self-leveling, but I just added another drop in that one spot, quick dry top coat, and it was perfect. I would definitely purchase from her. I might even get a custom one!
