Franken Femme Stardust

Hey ladies and gents! Today I have a franken for you from Franken Femme. She has a polish blog where she posts recipes and swatches of frankens she's made. She's also considering selling, so if you like her stuff, let her know!

This is Stardust! I named it with the help of some friends since Franken Femme didn't have a name for it.

This is a super pale mint blue with iridescent glassfleck shimmer.

Here's a good view against white so you can really see the color of it.

And it glows! It's the little glitters or something that really glows and not so much the base polish. I think that makes it even cooler, and that's why I named it Stardust :).
Check out Franken Femme's blog for some cool frankening ideas, recipes, and resources! If you'd like to buy a franken from Franken Femme, see which ones she has for sale (this post), or ask her if she'll make you a custom one, you can email her at frankenfemme@gmail.com.

Sparkle Foof!

Lol what a cute name! My friend Amanda from Nail Polish Enthusiast made a franken for me.

It's a super sparkly teal with little glitter and large hexes in a rainbow of colors. This polish is perfect for me!!

My husband gave me another pedi. I have him trained so well he paints my toes probably half the time now!! :P

That Bitch!

Remember this?
She's my first franken ever :D. There are more swatches here. I've been thinking and thinking on a name and told my friends again "I still haven't named that bitch" with a pic of the polish. Well apparently "That Bitch" stuck hahaha, so now that is my first franken's name.

Here she is for my current pedi:

Ahh coral shimmer fabulousness...I love it! Super success!
Next I need to try one of these jelly glitter frankens people are making!

How do you like That Bitch? :D

My First Franken!

So I finally jumped on the Franken bandwagon. I started with a shitty old polish in a mini bottle and cleaned it out with acetone. It actually took quite a while to get it all the way clean since I couldn't really reach the inside. Using a pipe cleaner really helped get the polish gunk off the inside of the bottle.

I used a total of 14 polishes, kind of a ton lol. I wanted to make coral, but didn't want to start with a coral base. It felt like cheating :P.

Pretty gold shimmer

Pretty!

See the glass flecks?

Then I crackled them just for fun!

Here is a cellphone pics that shows the more orangey side.

Like it? Like to franken?

Party Nails!

There were my party nails a while ago when I went to a Pure Romance party. Yes ladies, I purchased a few things :D. Nothing too exciting....unfortunately lol! Ever been? They're fun.

This is Zoya Caitlin with one coat of WetNWild Party of Five Glitters. Po5G is an awesome topcoat to add some party flair. It's a totally clear base with medium silver hexagonal glitter, small pink hexagonal glitter, small round red glitter, small round green glitter, and small hexagonal glitter that flashes both light blue and green.

Not only is Po5G awesome, but it's a great frankening supply as well. The frankening craze has been sweeping across Nail Polish and Gossip (Message me on FB if you can't request to join, we'd love to have you).
Jennifer Prewitt made this one (right) for me after I saw her original (left) and swooned over it. That shade of green is my favorite color ever!!!
Liz Navarette made this one! Gorgeous, no? We've all been inspired lately.

Sarah from Samarium's Swatches made one too!

I made one, more shimmery than glittery. I tried the glitter thing and it just looked chunky and eew. I'll have to try some more frankening. My first one didn't go so bad though! I'll have to blog about it so you can help me name it ;).
